Earlier, the court was told that harrowing evidence gathered at the Gray's horse trading premises at Spindle Farm, in Amersham, had shown:
*Severely emaciated animals tethered with no food or water.
*The rotting bodies of maltreated animals left to decompose amongst living ones.
*Twelve donkeys in a pen measuring just nine feet square.
RSPCA investigators who raided the farm on January 4 last year also saw a mountain of bones and horse skulls piled up in a corner of a muddy field.
However, all defendants insisted they each had no part in the mal-treatment of the animals.
The trial continues.
