Gray says trial has destroyed business

Gray calmly detailed the ages and breeds of all the horses at his farm and claimed all of them were well-cared for. In relation to 97 equines, he was asked by Michael Fullerton, defending, the question: "Do you consider that you failed to protect these horses from pain, injury, suffering and disease?" Each time, Gray responded he did not. He went on to insist all of his stock was well-fed and provided with adequate bedding.

Mr Fullerton asked Gray how the seizure of horses had affected his business. Gray responded: "It has destroyed my business because of all the publicity in the newspapers and whatnot.

"Everyone thinks about the bad name it has given me and people don't want to sell you horses and don't want to buy horses off you because of what they have said about me. "

The case continues.
