Former Open champion Ben Curtis took his revenge on Wentworth's last two holes on the final day of the BMW PGA Championship.
The American had closed out his third-round 81 with a pair of triple-bogey eights, but on his return he birdied the 17th and eagled the 18th. Curtis, who had also had a six and a seven on the 17th over the first two days, finished with a level-par 72 and 10-over total of 298.
He was 21 behind overnight leader and defending champion Luke Donald, who was two in front of Justin Rose as he prepared to tee off again.
