Former Australia coach John Buchanan will fly to England this week to assist Andy Flower and his team with their preparations for the Ashes..
Buchanan helped Australia win three out of four Ashes series, including the 5-0 whitewash of England in 2006/07, and also coached his country during two successful World Cup campaigns.
The 57-year-old helped England in a consultancy capacity last summer, but it is anticipated he will be taking on a significantly bigger role this time round.
Buchanan will add to the Australian input already available to England, following the appointment earlier this year of David Saker as their new bowling coach.
Their charges will travel down under in November with hopes high, after last summer's 2-1 victory over Australia, that they can win the Ashes away for the first time in almost a quarter of a century.
An England and Wales Cricket Board spokesman said of Buchanan: "I can confirm that he is coming here this week."
