Yorkshire have endorsed the England and Wales Cricket Board's decision to ban Azeem Rafiq for one month and fine him £500.
Rafiq's suspension follows his expletive-laden Twitter tirade about England Under-19 coach John Abrahams after the off-spinner had been dropped from the team for breaking curfews.
His county side, who had already suspended Rafiq pending the ECB's verdict, issued a statement, saying: "As a result of the announcement by the ECB, Yorkshire County Cricket Club will not take any further action against Azeem Rafiq other than to support Wednesday's decision and to place a formal warning letter on Rafiq's file with regard to his future conduct."
The statement continued: "The club strongly disapproves of the actions and behaviour that led to Rafiq's suspension. But as far as the club is concerned, this matter has now been dealt with - and no further comment will be made on this matter."
