Dirk Kuyt's 49th strike for the club and a Kevin Davies own goal secured a 2-0 victory for a workmanlike Liverpool against Bolton at Anfield.

Holland international Kuyt converted Alberto Aquilani's headed pass from close range in the 37th minute for his third goal in the last three games.

However, it needed a wicked deflection off Davies for Emiliano Insua's low drive to safeguard the win.
