CHESHAM were left to rue a red-card for defender Rob Bartley and a controversial penalty decision as they crashed to their first league defeat of the season.
The Generals went down 2-1 in Devon after throwing away the lead and their unbeaten start to the Evo-Stik Premier Division season.
In Division One Central, Beaconsfield SYCOB beat Thatcham Town to record their first home win of the season while Chalfont St Peter lost 3-2 at Guildford City.
Amersham Town put their patchy league form behind them to win 5-0 in their FA Vase first qualifying round game at Henley but Holmer Green continue to struggle with a 5-2 home loss to Hanwell.
