Ex-Fulham man nets in Chesham win

FORMER Fulham striker Barry Hayles scored a debut brace for Chesham United in their latest pre-season friendly last night.

The 40-year-old spent last season at Truro and joined Michael Chennels on the scoresheet in their 3-1 win at Berkhamsted.

Chesham have been busy in pre-season action with a 4-1 win in their re-arranged friendly at Waltham Abbey last Thursday thanks to goals from James Potton, Robert Bartley and Michael Chennells before a 1-0 defeat at Concord on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Holmer Green drew 1-1 at Olney Town at the weekend and face their final pre-season game at home to Henley Town on Saturday.
