Amersham all set for a busy cricket week

AMERSHAM Cricket Club's annual cricket week gets under way on Monday with a match against local rivals Chesham.

A busy programme includes evening six-a-side matches for local clubs, from 6pm, as well as day matches, starting at 11am.

On Tuesday, Amersham take on Billericay CC and on Wednesday, the visitors are a Charley Crasborn Invitation XI.

The week of events builds to a pretigious match against an MCC side on Thursday (11.30am) and a special match against an England Academy Ladies' XI, captained by former England captain Charlotte Edwards.

The six-a-side final will take place after that, at 6pm on Friday.

It all takes place at the Shardeloes ground, Missenden Road, Old Amersham. Everybody is welcome. A bar and barbecue will be available.
