Double cup blow for Pioneer

IT PROVED to be a bad week for Chesham Sunday League side Pioneer as their bid for cup glory ended.

Having lost the league cup final the previous week, Pioneer were beaten 2-1 in the Chesham Charity Cup semi-final by past winners Wycombe Town on Sunday despite a goal from Liam O’Neill.

Town will now face Eldorado in the final on Tuesday at Chesham United FC, kick-off 7.15pm.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s scheduled CSL Invitation Cup semi-final clash between Belmont and Beaconsfield Revolution fell foul of heavy overnight rain and a date for the rearranged game will be confirmed later this week.
