Away win gets Generals back on track

Evesham United 0-2 Chesham United

ANDY Leese praised his side for bouncing back from a horror home defeat at Evesham on Tuesday night.

The Generals were a wounded animal after shipping four goals in their home loss to Bedford on Saturday - the first time that has happened in Leese's reign.

But they picked themselves up with a 2-0 win at struggling Evesham with Inih Effiong and James Potton securing the win that lifted them back into the Evo-Stik Premier Division top five.

"We were excellent," said Leese. "The players responded really well and I was delighted. In truth, we were rarely troubled and scored some cracking goals. It was a great response."
