Hoddesdon Town 2-0 Chesham United Reserves
CHESHAM United Reserves went down to the first defeat in three games at promotion chasing Hoddesdon.
It was the first time in eight games that Steve Benitez’s young guns had failed to hit the back of the net as they slipped to seventh in the table.
But they made Hoddesdon dig deep to earn all three points with Barrington Brotherton seeing an early shot blocked.
Generals striker Tobi Aiken also saw his shot canon back off a defender and away from danger.
Town came closest in the first half when Ben Andreos rattled the crossbar with a fierce drive and they took the lead on 73 minutes through Tony Neilson.
The striker netted a second six minutes later to seal the victory for the home side.
