ANDY Leese said he will be taking decisions on a number of trialists at the club this week.

The United boss has used his extensive contacts to draft in some talented youngsters and experienced pros as he looks to add to his squad ahead of the Southern Premier Division kick-off next weekend.

Ex-Luton goalkeeper Shane Gore has impressed in pre-season with former Canvey Island striker Gabriel Fanibuyan looking a possible striking option.

Teenage winger Lewis Halford, 18, a former Scotland U17 international and released by Rushden & Diamonds last season, has also been given the chance to impress on trial at The Meadow.

Leese said: "We have to make some decisions. It is if they want to stick around and see if they can get into a good squad. We have brought in some very good players and have replaced those who are left.

"We have to decide how we want to play but we have plenty of options."
