United make approach for Cambridge City striker

CHESHAM United have made moves to bolster their striking options by making an approach for Cambridge City forward John Frendo.

The former Hendon and Ware forward has scored six goals in 22 appearances for the Southern League Premier Division side this season.

And Chesham have put in a seven-day request to talk to the player and will hope they can lure the striker to The Meadow after the loss of Leon Archer to a knee injury and with Danny Burnell on loan at Weston-Super-Mare.
