Little Hay Golf Club book third round spot
LITTLE Hay Golf Club reached the third round of the National Hawtree mixed team competiton last week.
The side overcame Birds Hill Golf Club from Maidenhead 265-259 to set up a third roubnd tie against Rickmansworth.
In the second round of the Midsummer Evening League, Hee-Young Crowhurst was victorious on 20 points with Paul Whiter, Phil Jefferson and Jerry Clarke all a further point back.
The overall leader of the nine hole competition is Alan Freeman with 38 points with Mike Reader in second on 36 points and Ivan Lawrence a further point behind in third.
Meanwhile, the seniors enjoyed a convincing win last week against Batchwood, losing just one of the six matches.
