Ling wins Bucks Ladies crown
EVIE Ling emerged victorious in the Bucks Ladies County Championships at the weekend
She secured the title by winning the very last hole in the final against Denise Goodacre.
The pair were all square after 17 holes of matchplay at Harewood Down Golf Club in Chalfont St Giles, but Ing, of Ellsborough GC, edged out her Lambourne GC opponent on the final green.
In the semi-final, played on Sunday morning, Goodacre defeated Harewood Downs player Charlotte West, with the match again being decided on the final hole.
Ing overcame Julia Gallagher (Woburn) on an extra play-off hole to reach the final.
All four Sunday players came through two rounds of play on Saturday, when the 16 best players in the county set off in pursuit of the trophy.
