O'Reilly begins darts defence in style
PAT O’Reilly’s Totteridge SC started their defence of the Wycombe and Amersham Darts Club League title in style – winning 9-5 at home to Holmer Green Legion A, with Pete Carroll hitting a 124 outshot and Dave Schrieber a 180.
The first week of the new season also saw a close, high-quality match between RAFA Club and Judo Club, which ended in an 8-6 win for RAFA.
Judo’s in form Dick Shillito hit his second 180 of the season, with RAFA’s Dean Jordan also hitting the maximum score.
A new-look Beaconsfield Legion side started their campaign with an 8-6 win over last year’s Division Two winners, Cressex D, new boys Jason Hine, Chris Long and Simon White all playing well.
In the final match in Division One, Hazlemere CC overcame Cressex E, 8-6.
Division Two is led by Cressex C after they won 12-2 against Lane End. There were also wins for the Barn Club (9-5 against Cressex CC A) and Holmer Green Legion B (8-6 v Marsh Legion).
