Cricket round-up: Rain hits Chesham's title charge

RAIN hampered our sides as Gerrards Cross slipped closer towards relegation and Chesham lost their grip on the title.

In the Home Counties Division Two West, the Cross slipped to a five wicket defeat at Burnham in a rain-affected game to leave them seven points adrift.

In the Morrants Thames Valley League Division One, Chesham saw their game at Sonning abandoned with the home side on 25-1 meaning they were awarded seven points.

But just four miles down the road, title rivals Wokingham managed to secure a maximum 25 points as their game went ahead.
