Cricket round-up: Khan destroys Burnham in Farnham victory

FARNHAM Royal demolished Burnham with a 171 run victory in their Home Counties Division Two West weekend win.

George Thurstance and Duncan Bradshaw both hit half-centuries before Javed Khan (5-22) saw Burnham bowled out for just 89.

Gerrards Cross remain bottom after a home draw with Horspath.

In Morrants Thames Valley League Division One, Amersham edged out Finchampstead while Beaconsfield and High Wycombe II played out a thriller.

Beaconsfield won the toss and a century from Luke Walker helped them post 195-8 but they didn't count on High Wycombe's Paul Sawyer blasting an unbeaten 125 to help his side claim victory.

In Division 2a, Chalfont St Peter lost by 86 runs at Datchet and in Division 2b Chesham demolished Reading II thanks to a five-wicket haul from Peter Ongondo.
