BLUES boss Gary Waddock felt it was important to face fans at the club trust AGM this week.
The Wycombe chief joined goalkeeper Nikki Bull and club legend Keith Ryan at the Adams Park event on Wednesday night.
It came days after a 5-2 hammering at Brentford saw them dumped to the foot of League One and after talented 18-year-old winger was sold to Cardiff.
Waddock admits he expected a rough ride from disgruntled supporters but said it is vital for him to front up to fans during this difficult time.
“They were absolutely brilliant,” he said. “You don't know how it is going to go and I would like to thank them because it could have been a tricky evening.
“I wanted to attend and one or two maybe thought I wouldn't turn up but there was no doubt. It is alright when things are going well but it is even more important when things are not going well to stand up and be counted.
“Questions were asked and I gave honest answers, as I always do.”
