Wycombe hopeful over Betsy nerve injury

Kevin Betsy

KEVIN Betsy was carried off with a nerve injury on Saturday but the injury to the Wycombe winger is not thought to be serious.

The 32-year-old was brought down for a penalty on the half-hour by Moses Swaibu but it was a follow up collision with Lincoln full-back Gavin Hoyte that did the damage.

Betsy was stretchered off but was able to walk out to the dug-out in the second-half and watch his team-mates beat the Imps 2-1 and move up to second in League Two.

Blues boss Gary Waddock, who has started the ex-Fulham midfielder in every game this season, said: "He looked bright and was taken out for the penalty.

"Bets got whacked and it has hit a nerve but he was beginning to be able to put some weight on it by the end of the game so hopefully it is not too bad."
