SCOTT Davies said abuse from the Aldershot terraces this weekend will only spur him and his Wycombe team-mates on.
The 22-year-old midfielder rejoined Wanderers on a three-month loan from Reading last week after starring during a 16 game spell at Adams Park last season.
He made his second debut in their dismal home defeat to Macclesfield on Saturday but said the Blues have no time to dwell on the result ahead of their stand-out fixture of the season.
Davies played 69 times for the Shots in two loan spells and scored 21 goals but he will not be the only one set for a rough ride from the home fans.
Blues chief Gary Waddock quit as Aldershot boss last October to take the reins at Wycombe after guiding the Shots to the Conference title and cup double in 2008 as they were promoted to the Football League.
He has since taken former Shots goalkeeper Nikki Bull and defender Andy Sandell with him to Adams Park with a tribunal needed to set a fee for 22-year-old defender Dave Winfield who turned down a new deal at the Recreation Ground to follow Waddock.
But Davies said they will all be mentally prepared for a barrage of abuse and will use it as extra motivation to get their first win in five games.
"It is a great game to have," he said. "We have been talking about the reception we might get but, whatever happens, we have to get on with it. We get paid to go out and do our jobs and we will blank it out and carry on with the match.
"I am looking forward to it and it was probably the first game I saw when I looked at the fixture list.
"They have great support down there but hopefully we will out sing them which will give us a buzz and some extra adrenalin.
"Nothing spurs you on more then if you get a bit of stick. We want to go there and show we are the better side and go and get the three points."
