GARETH Ainsworth said none of the Wycombe players could complain about being booed off the pitch on Saturday.
The Blues skipper was a frustrated observer from the substitutes bench as Wycombe went in at half-time 2-0 down to a struggling Macclesfield side.
The 37-year-old came on at half-time but could not inspire a comeback with Wanderers sinking to a 2-1 defeat – their first of the season.
They left the pitch with a chorus of boos ringing in their ears which Ainsworth had no complaints about after the game.
He said: "They have the right to boo the team when they want and not one of the players can say we didn't deserve to be booed because we lost the game.
"Hopefully we can turn them into cheers next week. The lads are really, really gutted and it is probably the worst feeling we have had this season so far.
"We can't be losing our home games if we want to finish where we want to finish."
