Langford 3-1 Amersham Town
A YOUTHFUL Amersham side were unable to prevent them slipping to their eighth straight league defeat.
Only goal difference now keeps the Magpies out of the dropzone and they fell behind on six minutes when Paul Garrett raced through to fire into the corner of the net.
Amersham felt the goal should have been ruled offside but rallied well and hit the woodwork on the half hour mark through Grant Beckwith's speculative effort.
But the home side went two goals up seven minutes later through a Kim Forsyth header and made the points safe on 52 minutes when Matt Endersby volleyed in.
Amersham pulled a goal back in the final minute when Martin Griggs scored his 13th goal of the season with a well taken penalty but it was another disappointing afternoon for struggling Town.
