Crawley Green 5-1 Amersham Town
STRUGGLING Amersham Town suffered a five-goal mauling at the hands of Crawley Green on Saturday.
The Magpies slumped to their sixth straight league loss with a whimper as they were out-gunned by mid-table Green.
Amersham held out for 18 minutes before conceding the opener to Rory O'Dell before his equally-potent strike partner Sam Peverall volleyed in the second on 31 minutes.
Town threatened a comeback five minutes later when Gary Saville headed in a Martin Griggs corner but their hope was shortlived as O'Dell tapped in three minutes before the break to restore their two-goal lead.
But further goals from Peverall and O'Dell, to earn him the matchball, sealed the convincing 5-1 win.
