Rugby round-up: Amersham & Chiltern celebrate promotion

AMERSHAM and Chiltern held their nerve to clinch promotion to the National League.

A home game against Wallingford stood in the way of Amersham and back-to-back promotions but they avoided a slip up with a convincing 51-12 victory sparking a party a Weedon Lane.

Beaconsfield finished their Southern Counties North season with a home win over Grove which secured them a fifth place finish.

Chesham also ended on a high in Berks & Bucks Oxon North with a 46-24 win over Oxford Harlequins thirds.
