For many of us the decision of where to go on holiday can be a daunting prospect, with countless options and choices at our disposal.
In order to determine what top destinations there are for cruises it is important to consider what aspects make destinations perfect for this type of holiday. Of course, coastal areas are the prime focus but cruise destinations need to be busy and active areas which combine spectacular views with bustling communities. Cruises themselves are a great way for families to have amazing holiday experiences whilst feeling secure and protected, allowing them to explore new countries without worrying about the safety of themselves or their family. Cruises also eliminate the need for families to plan every aspect of their holiday and combine entertainment and relaxation for the ultimate holiday adventure.
Here are three of our favourite cruise destinations:
Hawaii
Hawaii has always been a popular cruise destination, epitomising the relaxed and carefree atmosphere that cruises hope to exude perfectly. Hawaiian cruises can stay exclusively around Hawaii itself but some variants will offer overnight stays in areas such as Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Hawaii itself is one of the newest American states and is made up entirely of small islands situated within the Pacific Ocean. With warm tropical climate and abundance of varied scenery, Hawaii is an ideal holiday location for those partaking of a cruise, providing them with the perfect location from which to view the surrounding areas.
The Caribbean
The Caribbean is another top location for cruises, with an abundance of peaceful and picturesque islands offering diverse landscapes, views and experiences. Caribbean cruises can be split into a few separate areas: the Western Caribbean, Eastern Caribbean, Southern Caribbean and Bermuda.
All of these areas experience brilliant climates and consistently warm temperatures all year round. There are also a number of great activities which can be experienced in the area, including water sports, fishing, snorkelling, sailing, boating and even swimming with dolphins.
The Caribbean offers a chance to experience tropical paradises that boast absolute serenity and tranquillity. Caribbean cruises therefore allow you to experience these great areas whilst immersed in luxury and comfort, making the experience even more enjoyable.
The Mediterranean
Mediterranean cruises are often seen as the most popular British cruise destination due to its close location and varied sights. Typically Mediterranean cruises are separated into two areas: Eastern Mediterranean and Western Mediterranean. The former of these can visit areas such as Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Cyprus and Malta whilst the latter visits areas such as Spain, France, Italy and Northern Africa.
Mediterranean cruises combine both amazing historical landmarks, such as the Egyptian pyramids, with spectacular views of the Mediterranean landscapes. The peace and tranquillity of Spanish and Greek beaches are combined with the hustle and bustle of local life to provide amazing cruise experiences that are embrace both adventure and relaxation.
