A SCHOOL is celebrating after being graded as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
Dr Challoner’s High School, in Cokes Lane, Little Chalfont, has been judged to be outstanding following a recent Ofsted inspection.
The school was inspected last in 2006 when it was judged to be ‘good’, which is the grade below.
Head teacher Ian Cooksey said: “We are all thrilled by this well-deserved outcome and it is fitting that the school should be recognised as an outstanding organisation as it approaches its 50th anniversary.
“To have achieved this judgement under the new and more exacting inspection framework is even more satisfying.
“Moving the school from ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’ has involved years of hard work and passionate commitment from many individuals and credit is certainly due to our superb staff, governors, students and extremely supportive parents.”
