A PUB has won a competition to raise the most money for a charity for the fourth year in a row.
The Swan, in Ley Hill, was one of seven pubs to take part in the Amersham and Chesham Lions Club Easter Charity Pub Competition which raised a total of £625 to go towards local good causes. The Swan raised £150 by selling raffle tickets for an Easter hamper.
Amersham and Chesham Lions Club vice-president Bob Roe said: "Our congratulations go to the landlords Sam and Nigel Byatt for their splendid effort and for their continued support of the Lions Club."
Mrs Byatt said: "We're thrilled and it's nice that we've won again but the important thing is we have managed to raise as much money as we possibly could and we will obviously continue to do so. We always try to do the best we can for them and we wholeheartedly support them and we always have. Our customers are also happy to support the Lions."
