EMPLOYEES of two district councils are being asked how the council can be more efficient.
South Bucks District Council and Chiltern District Council are looking to save over £500,000 by sharing services.
Following the appointment of Alan Goodrum as the shared chief executive, the council are now looking to appoint eight new heads of service, who will oversee the running of each department.
The council hope the new heads of service will be in place by July.
In a joint statement Cllr Nick Rose, leader of Chiltern District Council and Cllr Adrian Busby, leader of South Bucks District Council said: “The project is running well, to time and we are on track to deliver the £500,000 first stage savings as detailed in our business plan.
“We appreciate this is a difficult time for staff and would like to thank them for their ongoing support on ensuring we achieve what we have set out to do.”
