FOUR people have been taken to hospital after an accident on the M40.
The M40 north bound was closed between junction 1A M25 and junction two Beaconsfield, after the accident involving three vehicles.
Police were called to the incident at 11.51pm this morning after three vehicles were involved in a collision.
Police said the vehicles involved were a yellow Ford, a grey Honda Anaconda and a green Mercedes van.
Three people were taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough.
One person was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by air ambulance.
Police said the M40 south bound would be temporarily closed to allow the helicopter to take off. It would then be re-opened to traffic.
