AN Amersham charity runner is celebrating completing her longest race yet.

Louise Goodridge launched her weight loss effort after her step-son's then girlfriend Jen Goodridge was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2009.

Following a long battle with the illness, Jen died aged 24 in August last year, just eight months after marrying Tony Goodridge.

Since then Louise has lost nearly four stone and taken part in several charity runs for leading cervical cancer charity, Jo's Trust. The latest saw her complete the Adidas Half Marathon at Silverstone race track on March 6.

Louise said: "I completed the half marathon on Sunday in 3:07 just 7 minutes behind Katie Price!

"Although it was a very hard run, I really enjoyed myself."The training beforehand was well worth it - I had aching muscles on Monday, but I am ready to start training for a marathon next year. Watch this space!"
