POLICE have charged a man in connection with a road smash that left an teenager dead and his girlfriend in a coma.
Sammy Edwards, 26, from Marsh, Aylesbury, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
It relates to a fatal collision in Risborough Road (A4129), in Kingsey on May 17 last year.
Greg Stiles, 18, of Thame, Oxfordshire, died and his girlfriend Abigail Dowdy, 17, from Prestwood, was left in a coma in the crash. Abigail regained consciousness and was released home from hospital several months later.
The couple were travelling in a blue Ford Fiesta from Kingsey to Longwick, when it was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa, a Renault Clio and a Toyota Yaris and led to police hunting for information regarding a 4x4 vehicle, which was also believed to be involved.
Edwards has been released on bail. He is due to appear at Aylesbury Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 2.
