IT SEEMS curious to me that the government thinks that lots of people will be using rail travel for commuting purposes by the time the proposed London-Birmingham link is in operation.Read
THERE is much local concern about the devastation that this white elephant of a project will cause as it ploughs through the Chilterns, but this is just part of a £34billion problem.Read
NOWHERE in any of the information supplied by HS2 in their roadshow or public relations material is it mentioned that HS1 in Kent has failed because it has not created significant business growth or an improved passenger service, despite the huge amount of taxpayers' money spent (and the vast sums lost in the subsequent sell-off to foreign operators).Read
YOUR two-page spread detailing various statements of individuals and groups opposed to the HS2 rail proposal gives the impression of nimbyism that the transport minister referred to.Read

I understand there is still reluctance between some mobile companies to share.Read
I READ with interest your report on the HS2 roadshow when it came to town last week and couldn't agree more with many of the comments made by the people you interviewed.Read
