ONCE again the Hospice of St Francis, which cares for seriously ill people and their families from across Bucks and West Herts, has created a host of action packed events for local people to get involved with over the next year.
What could be a better New Year’s resolution than taking part in the raising of much-needed funds for a cause which supports so many local people at a time in their lives when things get really hard?
Coping with a serious illness in the family is a huge pressure but the Hospice of St Francis can help and it does this for free.
Each year more than 700 patients and their families are supported by the hospice. If you have a bit of spare time on your hands to help out or would like to take part, please do give us a call on 01442 869 555.
We are running a series of events throughout the year including our annual midnight walk from Berkhamsted to Hemel in February to a quiz night – teams of eight needed – in March at the Boxmoor Playhouse in Hemel Hempstead.
Round off the summer with a skydive on September 15. We are looking for 25 people to fall for us by taking a sponsored 10,000 feet tandem parachute jump.
For details on these and many other events call 01442 869 555 or email sarah.ajder@stfrancis.org.uk.
