MANY thanks to those who have already responded to the HS2 consultation.

For those readers who have not, please remember that the deadline is July 29.

We understand that any responses received after this date will be ignored, so please do not leave your response until the last minute.

There is plenty of information to help you formulate your response on the internet. The 51m website has several useful links.

What will also help the campaign is for readers to encourage their friends and family elsewhere in the country to make their own responses and to write to their MPs encouraging them to oppose this financially flawed idea, which is to cost every household in the country more than £1,000.

Together we can stop this train!
