Beaconsfield High School: Hannah Moore
PUPILS at Beaconsfield High School enjoyed another year of outstanding of success. The all girls school in Wattleton Road saw a huge number of its pupils achieving A* and A grades in this year's exams. Although the full percentages have not yet been calculated, staff are confident that 2011 will prove to be another successful year at the school. One pupil enjoying her success was Hannah Moore, 18, who got an A* in English, an A in History and a B in Music. She said: "It is an incredibly never wracking time for everyone. It hangs over you all summer and then over the past week it really starts to worry you. "It wasn't helped by the fact that no one could log onto the UCAS website this morning to find out if they had got enough points to get into their universities because the site crashed. "That really added to the nerves because everyone was coming into school with no idea of how they had done. "I was pleased with my results though. I'm not sure which university I'm going to yet. I've got good enough grades to get into a few different ones so I need to have a think about what to do. "I want to study English when I go to university." Head teacher Owain Johns said: "They've done fantastically well again. Everyone here is very proud of the girls and I hope they enjoy their success."
