EMOTIONS were running high at The Misbourne School today when students ripped open their A-level results.
The school in Misbourne Drive, Great Missenden, has again improved on its results with 47 per cent of pupils gaining A* to B grades.
Libby Patton, 18, achieved three As and one A*. She said: "I feel overwhelmed and very pleased. Thanks to all my fantastic teachers." She is going to study fine art at Bucks New University.
Josie Post, 18, was very pleased with her A* in PE, A in psychology and A in biology. She said: "I am absolutely ecstatic and can’t wait to celebrate." She is going to Exeter to study sports sciences.
Hayley Beale, 18, achieved A* grades in art and photography and a B in Media Studies. She said "I am so happy with my results, which have given me the opportunity to go and study the subjects that I love." Hayley is going to study an art foundation course.
Louis Williams, 18, was very pleased with his exams results after getting A*s in maths and physics and an A in religious studies. He said: "I'm speechless." He is going to to Sussex University to study theoretical physics.
Headteacher Robert Preston said: "I am extremely proud of our students who have worked hard to achieve an even greater success this year."
