Beaconsfield School students praise teachers on A-level results day

The Beaconsfield School: Sam Burns

STUDENTS at the Beaconsfield School paid tribute to their teachers for helping them achieve success in their A Level results.

The school in Wattleton Road saw 38 per cent of its pupils receiving A* to B grades, and 65 per cent receiving A* to Cs.

One pupil enjoying his success was Sam Burns, 18, who is off to Liverpool University next month to study music.

He said: "This has been an amazing place to go to school. The teachers have been fantastic and they give so much of their time to help the students achieve good grades.

"They have really gone above and beyond what you would expect of them. I would not have got the grades I got without their help.

"Studying music in Liverpool will be fantastic. It obviously has a really rich musical history with the Beatles coming from there, which is one of the reasons why I chose to study there."

Head teacher John Fletcher said: "The pupils should feel very proud of what they have achieved. They have worked incredibly hard for their results, and the staff and I are very, very pleased with all of them for their efforts this year."
