VETERAN midfielder Gareth Ainsworth initially signed for Wycombe on loan in November 2009 before penning an 18-month deal at Adams Park in January 2010.
Starting out as a trainee at boyhood club Blackburn Rovers, Ainsworth's career in professional football began at Preston North End and Lincoln City.
His big move came in 1997 with a move to Premier League Wimbledon for a club record fee of £2m but the move did not work out.
In 2003 he made his way to QPR and Loftus Road where he became a Rangers legend with 141 appearances and 36 goals in a seven-year spell which included a period as caretaker boss.
