Accrington Stanley
ACCRINGTON Stanley were tipped by most pundits to be languishing down the bottom of League Two this season.
But the Lancashire club are throwing that scepticism down their critics' throats with a fantastic start to their campaign.
There are only two teams in England who have not conceded a league goal yet. They are Chelsea and Accrington Stanley.
Goalless draws at home to Aldershot Town and away at Northampton Town and Oxford United and a 3-0 home win over Macclesfield see Accie sitting seventh in the League Two table – one place above Wycombe.
They narrowly lost 3-2 at home to Newcastle in the Carling Cup and took the scalp of Tranmere in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on penalties on Tuesday night.
But Stanley boss John Coleman has not masterminded a win over weekend visitors Wanderers in three meetings with Wycombe winning on their last two trips to the Crown Ground.
